aterlier haute communication.
obsessed with detail and quality
Mobile phones have become the most important personal product of the 21st century. Yet they continue to be made out of plastic, which feels unpleasant in the hand and cheap to the touch, and breakable glass, which renders them prone to failure from the slightest knock. We are pushing the boundaries of quality and design to create better tools for communicating.
Christoph Behling Design has been instrumental in mobile phone designs for Levi’s, Dior, Versace and TAG Heuer.
TAG Heuer Meridiist
2nd screen
Focused on power consumption and ease of use we designed a new interface to allow the caller’s ID to be discreetly readable while your phone stays in your pocket. By pushing the TH button your caller is put on hold.
The design of the 2nd screen is also a homage to TAG Heuers stopwatch history in particular the first digital stopwatches designed by Richard Sapper in the 1980s.
versace unique
Designed in collaboration with Donatella Versace, inspired by haute couture tailoring at Versace, handcrafted & customized in material and colour to fit the customers every need: introducing the Versace Unique.
This luxurious phone is an attempt to merge the two worlds of handcrafted artisan culture and high-tech technology.
One of the unique features of the Link Mobile phone is the crown-operated USB door on the side of the phone. A spring-loaded stainless steel door on the side of the phone covers the charge and data ports, preventing water or dust from entering.
